In today's economy, consumers are often looking
for ways to cut back on spending and have started to focus more on how to get the most out of a
dollar. One economical approach that sometimes is not considered is examining the mode of
transportation people often use.
Cars consume a lot of gas, and ultimately a lot of
money. A more economical approach when needing to get from place to place and is to purchase a
recreational low speed vehicle, like a golf cart.
Golf carts come in electric and gas powered
varieties, both of which generally don't require much maintenance. Many golf carts are safe and
legal for road use, making them the ideal choice of transportation when running errands, especially
if you live in a neighborhood with shopping nearby.

When looking to purchase a golf cart, there are several important
things to consider. The first is to determine how the golf cart will be primarily used. If using it for
recreational use such as for golfing, you should look at any
guidelines the club or golf range has when using an independently owned golf cart versus renting one.
Sometimes, clubs may charge a fee if you bring your own golf cart
and charge you a storage fee, if you wish to leave the cart there. If the golf cart will be used for errands, make
sure that you read over the guidelines for purchasing street legal golf carts. These guidelines can easily be found
online and often include things such as headlights, doors, seat belts, purchasing a tag, etc.
It is also important to know any regulations there may be on using
recreational vehicles, like golf carts, within your neighborhood. Many golf carts can be purchased with a bed
similar to that of a truck and a detachable gate to help carry groceries and such in the back.
In addition to saving you money, a lot of golf carts available on
the market today are electric. They can easily be plugged into an ordinary outlet and generally do not require a
lot of time to charge the battery. Golf carts are generally small and do not require a lot of storage space. If you
live on large lot, golf carts can be an ideal way to navigate your lot, retrieving mail, driving out to check on
things, etc.
Aside from helping you to save money on gas, gold carts are also
relatively easy to maintain. Tires are generally not expensive and repair is generally not too expensive, including
golf cart batteries. When
looking at ways to save money and cut back on spending, consider a golf cart. It's one of the most cost effective
modes of transportation currently available today.
